Short, but sweet.

Today’s Guitar Solo Transcription is a nice simple one from Jody Porter of Fountains Of Wayne. There’s quite a bit of sliding around here, which adds to the smooth sound. The solo is doubled an octave up by what sounds like a synth, and there’s a little harmony on the final bar to bring the whole thing to a climax.

If you want a bit more of a challenge, why not see if you can move some notes around so it’s playable in a single position? Anyway, here’s the transcription:

Thanks for coming!

I really hope that this transcription has helped you! Do check back on 20th May to see my next post! Can’t wait? Why not check out last week’s post!

Do you have any suggestions of guitar solos I should transcribe? Or would you like to book a lesson to learn how to play your favourite shredder’s guitar licks? Get in touch with me using the contact page and I’ll do my best to help wherever I can.

Big love, and awesome licks.
